Shipping policies
Order Confirmation
Shortly after you place the order, our system will provide you with an email receipt confirming your order. We will also send you an email when your order has shipped.
Shipping Cost
Orders over $25 receive Free USPS Priority Mail Shipping. (This applies to customers shipping within the 50 United States (including Alaska and Hawaii) and to those shipping to US territories such as Puerto Rico and St. Thomas, Virgin Islands (but the Free Shipping policy does not apply commercial vendors)).
Orders of $25 or less will be charged at rates that will vary depending on the size and weight of your order.
We ship to international locations. The cost of shipping internationally will depend on your location, the size and weight of your order and method of shipment. Before you place your order online to ship to any international location, please call us at 877-324-2489 (Monday – Friday from 9 am – 5 pm Eastern Standard Time) or email us at customers@chillessence.com. A Chillessence team member will provide you with details regarding your shipping charges and assist with the processing of your order.

Sales Tax
Under current law, orders shipped to a New Jersey address carry a 7.0% sales tax and orders shipped to locations outside of New Jersey are not subject to a sales tax.
Tax exemption
If you are a tax-exempt purchaser, we will need for you to provide us with appropriate documentation including a tax exemption certificate and email address. Please fax the appropriate documentation to 609-613-5185 or email it to customers@chillessence.com.

The privacy of our customers is very important to us. Please see our privacy policy for more details.
Returns
We want our customers to be 100% satisfied with our products and therefore offer a 30-day guarantee (from the date you receive your order) on all of our products. If for some reason (or no reason at all) you are not completely satisfied, please return the product(s) to us within the 30-day window for a refund (less applicable shipping costs and taxes).
Before returning an item(s), please call us to arrange the refund at: 877-324-2489.
Also, please include your original receipt with your return and, if you would like, please provide us with a reason for your return (by writing your reason on your original receipt).
We will promptly process a refund to your account or exchange the item should you request an exchange.

What is the difference between “organic” and “natural”?
All of our products are natural, or natural and organic.
Organic
“Organic” refers to a method of farming in which plants and botanicals are grown on land that is free of chemicals, fertilizers and pesticides. The USDA divides these products into three categories: "100% Organic," "Organic" (contains 95% organic ingredients) and "Made with Organic Ingredients" (contains at least 70% organic ingredients). In order to label a personal care product as “organic” at least 70% of the ingredients must be organic.
Natural
With respect to personal care products, “natural” means each product was created from botanical sources without additives or synthetic preservatives; the soil in which these plants are grown isn't taken into consideration. Natural personal care products are not federally regulated, so they may contain synthetic ingredients. Chillessence’s products, however, DO NOT contain synthetic ingredients (nor do they contain any known or suspected toxic ingredients). The Campaign for Safe Cosmetics (www.safecosmetics.org) is proposing that natural products contain no ingredients known to cause human-health risks and is advocating for regulatory standards for natural and organic personal-care products. Chillessence supports those efforts wholeheartedly!

Chillessence Jewelry
Our natural jewelry is made from non-toxic materials sourced from the plentiful resources of Mother Earth. Any colored glass beads used in our pieces have been dyed with vegetable dyes. For a more detailed description of each piece, please see the description of each individual jewelry item.
Each piece is handcrafted and is unique, i.e., no two pieces (with the same name and from the same collection) can be identical due to the natural materials we use.
Notes about our be great Organic Personal Care Products:
With the exception of the Chillessence be great body bar (which is all natural and contains some organic ingredients at less than the 70% level), all of our personal care products are natural and organic (70% or more) based on the definitions provided above.
Note: Except for be great body bar, the organic essential oils we use to provide the fragrance for our be great products may cause a portion of the products to change colors. The change in the body creme and body lotion may range anywhere from an orange to a golden brown color. This is a natural occurrence and the variance of color does not reduce the effectiveness of any product.
Also, note: Our body wash, body lotion and body creme will remain “fresh” for a period of approximately 1 year from the date of purchase, and our body bar has a “shelf life” of approximately 3 years. You can ensure the estimated shelf life of each product by keeping each product in a cool place.
